Maximum Ride is a series of science fiction novels by James Patterson. The character, Maximum Ride (a.k.a. Max) is a human-avian (98% human and 2% avian) who along with her other human-avian friends called collectively, The Flock, experience a series of adventures that involve everything from living together their mountain home and saving each other from danger to attempting to save the world from evil scientists.
