The annimated series Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids premiered in 1972 and became a beloved classic. Produced and hosted by Bill Cosby, it featured a cast of character who based on his childhood gang. Bill Cosby voiced a number of the characters, including Fat Albert. The show offered an educational lesson through live action segments. The gang of characters also played music in their North Philadelphia junkyard using cobbled together instruments.
