Augusta Georgia is the home of the prestigous Masters® Golf Tournament. The tournament is held at Augusta National Golf Club, a for-profit coporation founded by American amateur golfer, Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts, a golf administrator. The land is a 365-acre former nursery/antebellum plantation. The golf course was designed by Bobby Jones and Alister MacKenzie, a golf course architect. Augusta National Golf Club is also a co-host of the Augusta National Women's Amateur golf tournament.
